Concessive Coordinator
Joins two independent clauses. Introduces the speaker's point of view.
- We're late, but so is everyone else.
After conceding that the speaker & friend are late, the speaker emphasizes that they are not alone.
Before conceding that the speaker & friend are not alone, the speaker states the facts: "We're late! We're late!"
